About Ivan Kurmanov
I’m a lonesome web developer, sitting on a chair in an eastern-european country of Belarus. I do web applications for living.
Also I love collecting, validating, processing and spitting out huge amounts of metadata. That’s what I do for pure fun, ha-ha-ha.
I’m part of the RePEc team and currently engaged in ACIS project. I’ve put a lot of effort into making RePEc Author Service a better place.
I work with Thomas Krichel, Christian Zimmermann, Sune Karlsson, Bob Parks, Kit Baum, Bill Goffe and some other nice people.

For some reason I took a five-year study at a university here in Minsk and got a degree in Economics. I’ve never worked as an economist, but studying was certainly an enlightening experience. And I met a few nice girls there, which was not bad at all. :-)

I love English language. I keep learning it for fun and for work. That’s another thing I do for living: translating English into Russian and back.
